Apartment buildings can offer many advantages and are also cheaper to construct.
Obviously, when a tower building can house several households, construction costs are relatively lower.
Our traditional way of building and living must undergo a transformation.
We need to build and live “smart and green.
This not only provides savings but is also sustainable.
The ‘2021 EU Climate Plan’ shows that buildings emit about 39% of global energy-related CO2.
This is reason enough for our Minister of Public Works, Mr. Nurmohamed.
Riad Nurmohamed, to give the go-ahead to amend various building and construction laws and regulations*.
The Building, Monuments, Urban Planning and Nuisance Laws are the largest and most important laws that will be scrutinized by the Ministry of Public Works.
Minister Riad Nurmohamed, will deliver the opening speech at the Congress on the importance of the Apartment Law in Suriname.
Among others, Nurmohamed is Lecturer Magnus in Technological Sciences at the Anton de Kom University of Suriname, Doctor of Philosophy in Technological Sciences (CumLaude), Chair of the Jnan Adhin Knowledge Institute of the VHP, Coordinator Moodlesite Msc in SMNR program, Program Coordinator of MSc Program in Sustainable Management of Natural Resources, GlobalWaterPartnership representative of AdeKUS and member of CariScience (Trinidad).
It is our true pleasure to have Minister Riad Nurmohamed as the opening speaker at this Congress.

From October 27 to 29, 2021, will be held, for the first time in Suriname, a Land Congress will be held with the theme “Apartment Law.
This Congress is a private initiative of Terzol Vastgoed NV and will be organized by Tabto Group NV.
The purpose of this Congress is to raise awareness and the “sense of urgency” of the Apartment Law in order to speed up the adoption of the Law.
Due to the pandemic, the Congress will be broadcast live, to give as many individuals and companies as possible the opportunity to participate and ask questions.
